REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Community Service Projects

Identifying Unique Volunteer Opportunities for review by the Leadership Hollywood Class 48.

THE LEADERSHIP HOLLYWOOD PROGRAM

Leadership Hollywood, the premier program of the Hollywood Chamber, is highly regarded across Broward County and the State of Florida. This interactive initiative offers participants a deep dive into our community, promoting teamwork and providing a comprehensive understanding of the resources and services available in our city and county. Through this experience, class members gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities that our community faces.

Tailored for both current and future leaders, Leadership Hollywood organizes each class into small groups of 8 to 10 individuals who collaborate to identify and address community issues. This intensive nine-month program runs from October to June, culminating in a graduation ceremony.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

The Leadership Hollywood Foundation is currently accepting project proposals for Class 48 to undertake between November 2024 and May 2025. Partnering with Leadership Hollywood presents a unique opportunity for a local not-for-profit organization to leverage a dedicated volunteer team with diverse expertise to successfully execute a meaningful project with tangible results within the program timeframe.

SERVICE PROJECT PARAMETERS

The projects should revolve around addressing specific issues within the Hollywood area, aiming to develop programs, products, or outcomes that bring substantial and enduring value to the community. An optimal project will be action-driven, resulting in the creation of workshops, initiatives, or marketing strategies that support the organization's long-term objectives. Additionally, these projects should offer members of the Leadership Hollywood program the opportunity to explore and engage in finding solutions to current challenges facing our community and its residents. The project is slated for completion by May 2025. It is crucial to note that projects should not involve class members in fundraising or legislative/political advocacy activities. If funding is necessary to finalize the project, all fundraising activities must be carried out on behalf of the organization receiving the project.

MARKETING

All marketing materials promoting the projects, whether it be an event, workshop, program, etc., must have the Leadership Hollywood logo on them and must be pre-approved by the Leadership Hollywood Chair, Co-Chairs, and Chamber staff.

Project proposals must have organizational approval as evidenced by a letter of commitment from an authorized organization representative and provide the names of one or more organizational representatives whose time will be committed to the project. In other words, your organization’s representative will serve as the team’s leader, be readily available to the group, attend meetings, and guide the group to achieve your stated goal.
